5 easy steps to ensure you put on weight:
- Iron fortify the food supply. Excess iron disrupts the ability to metabolize fat cells. Iron fortification of the American food supply started in the 1940’s.
- Add sugar to everything...ketchup, peanut butter, potato chips, spaghetti sauce, etc...because it’s more addictive than cocaine. Food producers are in the business of selling more food (or more like processed food-like substances), not in the business of trying to provide the most nutrients to your cells to foster health. The average American ingests a pound of sugar in 2-3 days; 100 years ago, it took our ancestors 6-12 months. Sugar consumption triggers the release of a hormone called insulin. Insulin tells your body to store fat.
- Replace traditional fats like lard, tallow, real butter and cream (fats that our ancestors consumed all the time back when people were skinny and healthy) with Crisco, margarine, soybean, corn and canola oils. These modern, highly processed seed oils oxidize very easily, driving inflammation in the cells, “gunking up” the cells’ carburetors called mitochondria, preventing efficient fat metabolism.
- Tell everyone to eat a low fat diet, while making processed, carbohydrate-rich foods cheap and readily available on every corner. Carbohydrates turn into sugar in the body, sugar spikes insulin, and insulin tells you to store fat.
- Add some stress to the lifestyle. Stress puts you into fight or flight mode, triggering The stress hormone cortisol. Cortisol prevents fat metabolism.
We have known all of the above for quite some time. Unfortunately, doctors, dietitians and nutritionists are not taught this; therefore, we continue to read headlines like this one: “By 2030, Nearly Half of all adults in the U.S. Will Be Obese.”
And then we have leading public health officials like Dr. Jah make statements like this (yes, the same Dr. Jah who has not treated a single Covid-19 patient but who offered opposing testimony to Ron Johnson’s Senate committee hearing basically saying that Dr. Peter McCullough’s testimony and the other frontline doctors that testified to treating thousands of covid-19 patients successfully with hydroxychloroquine.):

We know that obesity plus covid-19 equals very bad outcomes. 78% of people that needed hospitals, ventilators or died from Covid-19 were obese or overweight.
And, we know that obesity increases the odds of getting cancer, Alzheimer’s, heart attacks, stroke and just about every other modern, western disease (all of which increase your odds of poor outcomes with covid-19 and all other respiratory viruses like the flu).
The real epidemic of modern times is obesity, only surpassed, in my opinion, by the epidemic of deception and fear. As a believer in Jesus Christ and the truth of God’s word, I try and meditate on and put deep into my heart the truth that God does not give us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.
