What is Ultraviolet Blood Irradiation Therapy
It is a safe therapy in which the patient’s blood is withdrawn into an IV bag, exposed to Ultraviolet light and then reintroduced into the patient via an IV. How much blood do you take out?
The amount of blood taken out is dependent on weight. The maximum that will be taken out is 250 cc.
How many times do I need to do it?
This will be decided between you and your practitioner. Generally, it could be two times a week for the first one to two weeks, followed by once a week. Length of time depends on your issues being addressed and your response.
Are there any side effects?
